Endemic species of Oradea hot spring in Romania now extinct in the wild

The very famous Romanian hot spring Baile 1. Mai seems to be at its end. Once inhabited by thre endemic species, the water lily Nymphaea lotus thremalis, the snail Melanopsis parreyssii and the fish Scardinius racowitzai.

 All three species seems to be now at the very border of extinction and two have already moved to an Ex Situ facility. All warm water is taken for recreation infrastructures and nothing is left for biodiversity.
